MOB DROPS & COLLECTIBLES
PHeads adds configurable mob head drops and optional player-head drops for hunting, decorating, and collecting.
PLAYER FEATURE Collecting Mob Heads
When a player is credited with killing a supported mob, PHeads can award a head based on the server's configured drop chance. Mobs that already have vanilla head items use those native heads; other supported mobs can drop custom-textured heads. Natural drops can match the killed mob's variant.
How Drops Work
- Head drops are chance-based, not guaranteed; chances are configurable.
- The kill must be credited to a player. Environmental deaths and mob-versus-mob kills do not trigger PHeads drops.
- Custom heads do not remove or replace ordinary vanilla loot.
- Optional player-head drops are supported but disabled by default; availability depends on server settings.
- Variant-specific textures are available for supported mobs, but not every temporary or visual state has a different texture.
Player Commands
No normal player command is needed. Collect eligible heads by defeating mobs as usual.
ADMIN ONLY Head Management
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/pheads reload | Reloads the head-drop configuration. |
/ph give <mob-head> | Gives a supported canonical mob head to the operator. |
/ph is an alias for /pheads. Supported mob names are available through command tab completion.
Important Notes
Drop chances and the head list depend on the current server configuration. The
/ph give command gives a default appearance; variant-matched heads come from natural mob kills.Supported heads and release documentation: PHeads on GitHub.
